The DB20 pilot-operated relief valve consists of a main valve and a pilot control valve. Hydraulic pressure acts on the main spool and pilot stage simultaneously. When system pressure exceeds the preset value, the pilot valve opens and releases pressure from the control chamber, causing the main valve to open and redirect excess oil to the tank. This limits system pressure and protects hydraulic components from overload.
For the solenoid-operated version (DBW type), the integrated solenoid directional valve allows remote unloading and electrical control of system pressure.
